Please follow the next steps:

  1. Reboot your PC
  2. Disable your antivirus
  3. Check that you have installed all the latest updates for Windows.
  4. If you need to save your settings, copy your Config folder in a safe place before uninstalling Hand2Note: http://www.hand2note.com/Help/Index/MovingConfig
  5. Remove database. By default, it is located in the next folder: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Hand2Note\h2ndb
  6. Uninstall Hand2Note via Control Panel.
  7. After the uninstallation has finished please manually delete all files from the install directory (default folder is located in C:\Program Files\Hand2Note).
  8. Download and reinstall Hand2Note using the latest installer: https://h2n.blob.core.windows.net/main/Hand2NoteInstaller.exe
  9. Run Hand2Note with default config (do not restore your config folder), enter your serial key in program and check if the issue persists

Your database will be completely removed

We have done quite a lot of dynamic updates of program modules recently. These updates are downloaded automatically during program startup, but sometimes failures can occur and in this case, сlean reinstallation can help. 


If you have done reinstallation but the problem still exists, please, provide us with additional information:

1. Enable logging in Configuration -> Other Options -> Logging (Please remove old log files in the folder C:\Program Files\Hand2Note\logs to reduce the size of an archive.)
2. Reproduce the problem

3. Archive the folder with Hand2Note and send us.

4. Please, make a visual representation of the problem. For example, short video or screenshots where we can see a bug. This will help us a lot to reproduce and fix the problem.

You can use any convenient file sharing service, for example, http://www.dropbox.com/, if the file exceeds 15MB

  1. Перезагрузите компьютер
  2. Установите все последние обновления Windows 
  3. Если вам нужно сохранить настройки, скопируйте папку Config и Notes в безопасное место (C:\Program Files\Hand2Note\Config): http://www.hand2note.com/Help/Index/MovingConfig
  4. Удалите Hand2Note через панель управления 
  5. Удалите вручную все файлы из папки C:\Program Files\Hand2Note
  6. Скачайте и установите последнюю версию Hand2Note 3.2.6.30: https://hand2note.com/ 
  7. Запустите Hand2Note от имени администратора в дефолтной конфигурации (не восстанавливайте свой конфиг), введите лицензионный ключ и проверьте, сохранится ли проблема
  8. Если всё в порядке, можете восстановить ваш конфиг. (Если вы используете ХАД от стороннего разработчика, то лучше установить его заново с помощью автора пакета).

Ваша база данных не будет удалена во время переустановки.
